SAMANTHA VU, DVM
Hi! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your pet’s health team. My own team consists of Jackson, THE best Australian cattle dog and Harriet, a work-in-process coated Xoloitzcuintle. I am aided by my bed warmer cats: Davis and Boppy. My husband and I are both managed by our 2 young boys. I graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine and did my undergraduate studies at the University of California, Davis. I would love to do more traveling but in the meantime, am content exploring various eateries. Feel free to give me your food recommendations!
As I grew up, our family was known as the local zoo. We had every critter off the street that you can think of. My mother never turned away a hurt or nursing baby, and I followed in her footsteps. I knew to be happy in my career, I needed to help and care for animals. During my time in Humboldt I was able to do Wildlife rescue after an oil spill and I KNEW this is my calling. I have worked at the Animal Clinic since Aug. 1999. I started as a kennel technician, then moved to reception, then Veterinary assistant and now my current position as Office Manager. I enjoy knowing that when I come to work, I can possibly make a difference in an animals life and possibly ease the concern of their owner. We have a great, fabulous mixture of staff that I call my “work family”. I bought a house a few years back and live there with my 3 rescue dogs; Tikara, Toni and Chance, 3 rescued cats; Princess Mimi LaRue, Stewy LePue, and Poppy….and a few chickens. I love my crazy fuzzy crew and would never trade them for anything! Grew up in Stockton, Ca and attended college in Humboldt Ca. (loves the Redwoods)Loves her babies (pets), gardening, swimming, reading, hiking and road trips
I’ve always had a passion for working with animals since I was a little girl. I graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Carrington College in 2016. My first job in the field was at a Spay & Neuter Clinic while I was still in school. Wanting to gain more experience I took on a position as an emergency technician for nearly 2 years. I started working for the Animal Clinic May of 2018. Although I’ve been fortunate enough to work in different parts of the veterinary field I am happy to be here at the Animal Clinic and be a part of this team. Whether it is saving lives in the ER, or savings lives by prevention, I love my job, and I love what I do. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and fur babies of my own (Buster Posey my Labrador retriever, and Biscuit my cat).
I started my career in massage therapy and ended up here… lol. I have been in the Veterinary field for 16+yrs. Graduating from Consumes College I have worked in various areas, including exotics and emergency. I have lived in the central valley all my life. I enjoy my family, traveling and my fur babies. Love my dachshunds!!
Hi! I’m Jessie. I’ve been working in the veterinary field since 2012. After completing a vet assistant program and receiving my certificate, I started volunteering at the Stockton Animal Shelter, the Animal Protection League, and at ACT Spay and Neuter Clinic, where I was eventually hired on and worked for over 3 years. I left ACT to work at Stockton Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center where I started as a kennel tech for the pet hotel, and then quickly transferred to their emergency department where I stayed for the next 3 and a half years before coming to work here at Animal Clinic. While I still enjoy working an occasional shift at the emergency hospital, I also enjoy building relationships with clients and their pets that comes with working in a day practice setting. I currently have two dogs name Bitsy and Kibbles, and a cat named Morty. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to festivals. Fun Face about me; I love traffic cones!
I have had a passion for caring for animals my whole life. It started with Flowers (pictured) when I turned three years old and received her as a birthday present. We were inseparable for 17 years and she inspired me to get into caring for animals as a career. I currently am in my last term of school in Carrington College’s Veterinary Technology program and will be graduating in the fall. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with all my animals,. there is my lab Blu, Chihuahua terrier Riley, Chihuahua mix Sadie, and a Pomeranian Chihuahua Stella. I also have 3 cats; Stacy, Luna, and Fluffy.
I have always loved animals! I have been working in the veterinary business for 32 years. Animals give us unconditional love which is very humbling. I am very fortunate to love my job, but I also enjoy spending time with my daughter. We like to get in the car and go on adventures…just drive to see where we go with no particular destination in mind. My daughter and our dog love these “road trips”! LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to SING…..her daughter has also followed in her singing footsteps! Sews her own clothing and has patched up staff clothing too, Enjoys cooking.
Animals have always amazed me with their tolerance, healing, resilience, trust and undying love. I believe a pets’ love is the purest form and best example of what humans were made to be towards each other. I love spending any time, anywhere with my sons, the beach, a baseball game and rooting for the SF Giants (GO GIANTS!)
I started working at the Animal Clinic in 2008. I enjoy being able to care for pets while their families have to be away. When I am not working, I have a passion for all things gardening. I’m never too far from a nursery! I share my home with my husband, my dogs, cats, and parrot. Main college study in Horticulture. Grows and reproduces plants to sell at her own Garden Yard Sale.
I have spent my life around animals, both my own pets and watching my mom at work. I have a fur-baby, Kira, whom I am crazy about even though she is very crazy but she is my crazy. Helping take care of animals makes me very happy. I also love music and I read any chance I get. Photography is something I really like to do, capturing memories for family and friends is also very fulfilling. I am also a big shark fan, real sharks and the San Jose Sharks!
I have been working at the Animal Clinic for almost 10 years. This is the BEST JOB I have ever had! I am very much a dog person and enjoy taking my dogs and entering them into contests. I spend time training my dogs to do tricks and building costumes for these contests. I have one dog, Fiona, who will play the piano and sing and also snatch a tissue out of the box if i should sneeze! I grew up in Beverly Hills, where most my family still resides. My daughter and her husband, who live in Stockton also, have given me two grand kids! What fun!!
